This week we will explore the following topics:
Reading/Writing: identify topic sentences and key details in paragraphs / identify key details of major events / collect evidence for a writing task
Word Work: high frequency words - why, because, could, eat, you / phonics pattern - long o (oa, ow, o_e, oe, o). Examples - coast, float, grow, low, yellow, goes, toe, cold, old, told.
Math: topic 6 - fluently subtract within 100 - review and assess / begin topic 8 - money and time (we save topic 7 for the end of the year)
Social Studies/Science: geography unit - different types of communities - rural, suburban, urban
